From the recording Out of This World (2004)
Oi Dai (traditional Karelian)
"If I were on my own land, on the edge of my own field, I would sing as a bird sings, and the spruce and pines would learn my song.
Now I am on foreign land, altogether unfamiliar, where our birds don't fly, nor caw our hooded crows.
And where will I end up? I have strayed from my swan-host and vanished from my geese flock. Surely I, a bird, would sing were I on the edge of my own field."
