Prefr"kna Ptička (traditional Bulgarian, Thrace region, arr. Philippe Koutev)

A bird flitted through the yard, over the white rosebush. Softly it called out, "Come out, young woman, I'm bringing you great joy! The level fields have all formed ears of grain, the black-eyed sheep have all had twin lamps, the golden bees have all swarmed, and the children everywhere are alive and well!"
